Seminole Alumna received mayor's certificate of excellence

On November 25th, Carlye Winfrey, a Seminole High alumna, was recognized and received the Mayor's Certificate of Excellence for being elected President of Texas FFA from Mayor John Belcher at the Seminole City Council Meeting.

"I am excited and honored to receive the Mayor’s Excellence Award from Mayor Belcher. Growing up in Seminole has taught me the true meaning of community," stated Winfrey. "As I travel the state of Texas this year I am proud to tell others I am from Seminole. I am also thankful for my education at Seminole ISD and for the teachers that encouraged me to pursue my goals."

The primary responsibility of a state officer is to serve the organization in local, regional, state, and national activities in a way that will inform, motivate and inspire FFA members, advisors, teachers and others to achieve the mission, strategies and core goals of the association.

We are incredibly proud of Miss Winfrey and how she has continued to represent Seminole and the Texas FFA organization in such a distinguished manner.
